Magonia è un mondo extraterrestre descritto da Agobardo di Lione in un trattato del IX secolo: "Contra insulsam vulgi opinionem de grandine et tonitruis". Il protagonista di questo romanzo, Mister Henry Cavendish, "un ricco uomo qualunque, di sana e robusta costituzione", inquieto e infelice, comincia ad interrogarsi sulla propria misteriosa e mai chiarita origine di "uomo mai nato". Rievoca e domanda.

Tutto parte da un cassetto chiuso a chiave. Henry sceglie di cacciare la testa fuori dalla comoda banalità quotidiana soltanto per riuscire a sconcertare se stesso. Così inizia un viaggio assurdo intrapreso assieme al coraggioso libraio Theophilus Hit che, attraverso la lettura di un curioso libro su Magonia, darà al protagonista l'input per continuare a cercarsi e scrivere il finale di una storia persa tra mito e allegoria introspettiva.

Mary Blindflowers ha coniato il movimento "Destrutturalismo" le cui idee sono espresse nel blog "Destrutturalismo e altro" e nella omonima rivista. Ha all'attivo diverse mostre d'arte e pubblicazioni di saggistica, poesia, romanzi e opere teatrali. Ha vinto il primo premio di disegno alla "Henry Moore Foundation" nel 2019.
