'Jahrhundert" (Grin-Verlag München 2012) inzwischen ein gewisses öffentliches Interesse erzeugt hat, hat der Autor sich entschlossen, mit "Fragmente des Glaubens" sozusagen einen ähnlich gearteten, aber weiterführenden "Folgeband" zu veröffentlichen. In den Beiträgen dieses Buches setzt er seine "Suche nach einem für mich heute sag- und tragfähigen Glauben" fort, ergänzt und erweitert sie unter anderem durch eine vertiefte Beschäftigung mit heutigem systembiologischen naturwissenschaftlich-evolutionären Denken, mit den Einsichten einer "Theologie des Todes Gottes" nach Ausschwitz und Hiroshima, mit den mystischen und spirituellen Grundvollzügen menschlichen Glaubens, mit Immanuel Kants transzendentalphilosophischer Ethik, mit einer interreligiös "komparativen" theologischen Methode, und mit vielem mehr. Inhaltlich vereint dieser Folgeband fünf einzelne, teilweise bisher unveröffentlichte, teilweise wieder bereits im Onlinemagazin www.theomag.de veröffentlichte Beiträge. Wieder handelt es sich eher um "Werkstattberichte" und um "lautes Denken", nicht um klassische systematische Arbeiten. Dennoch führt der Autor hier ein religiöses, theologisches und philosophisches Nachdenken fort, von dem er denkt, dass es für Menschen, die sich wie er um eine Neubestimmung dessen bemühen, was es hei en könnte, "heute glaubwürdig von Gott zu reden", wieder hilfreich und anregend sein könnte.

Stefan Schütze wurde 1962 in Pforzheim geboren. Er ist evangelischer Pfarrer und arbeitet aufgrund seiner Schwerbehinderung (Multiple Sklerose) seit 2004 im Sonderpfarrdienst der Evangelischen Landeskirche in Baden. Seit 2011 veröffentlichte er verschiedene Bücher und Aufsätze zu theologischen und philosophischen Themen. Sein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Frage nach der Möglichkeit einer "heute sag- und tragfähigen" Gottesrede, dem interkulturellen und interreligiösen Dialog, der Bedeutung von Immanuel Kants kritischer Philosophie für heutiges Leben, Glauben und Denken, sowie dem Verhältnis von Religion und Naturwissenschaft
