About The Author

Robert, S. Ball: - Sir Robert S. Ball was an Irish mathematician and astronomer who lived from 1840 to 1913 and is best known for his book "Great Astronomers." He taught astronomy at Cambridge University, and from 1892 until his death, he was in charge of the Cambridge Observatory. Ball was also a good writer and teacher of science in addition to his academic work. He wrote many books and articles about astronomy and related themes, such as 'The Story of the Heavens' and 'In Starry Realms.' He was known for writing in a way that was interesting and easy to understand, even for people who didn't know much about science. Ball was a member of the Royal Society and won many awards and honors for his work in science and astronomy. He also did a lot to get people interested in science by giving talks and writing for popular science magazines.
