"Greek Street" is what Angela Christakos calls her family's neighborhood, where she and over fifty relatives live. Even now, Christakos can vividly remember the joyous festivities on Orthodox holidays.

Not all of her memories are happy, however. In fact, Christakos endures trauma after trauma at the hands of relatives. If it weren't for her aunt, she would have never known the truth about what happened to her when she was two years old-the start of being called "dumb" and "mean." Walk with her through her journey of years of psychological abuse and torment.

Sometimes Christakos wants to die. Other times she wants to leave. When she marries, she thinks she has finally escaped, but the Florida community where she and her husband live has its own dark side. Then, her husband shows his true colors. Will Christakos ever find a place where she is safe and respected?

Christakos encounters witches, warlocks, supernatural entities-and eternal grace. Against a background of supernatural events, Christakos fights for her baby daughter and for her own sanity, finding strength in her growing relationship with God.

It takes years for her to finally free herself from the psychological prison her parents built, but Christakos knows that God has given her the courage to escape.

Angela Christakos has a BS in agricultural sciences from Western Illinois University. She earned a master gardener certificate from New Mexico State Agriculture Department. Christakos has written various newspaper articles on gardening and a series called Weighing Things Out. She lives with her husband in Arizona.
