Song, Pingan: - Dr. Pingan Song is currently Associate Professor and Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow. He obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry from the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University in 2009. Since 2009, he joined Zhejiang A &F University as Lecturer and then promoted to Associate Professor (2011) and Full Professor (2016). In late 2016, he moved to Centre for Future Materials, University of Southern Queensland as Associate Professor. His research focuses on the synthesis of eco-benign fire retardants for polymer materials, fire-warning sensors, and polymer blends and modifications as well as the understanding of processing-structure-property correlations. He has co-authored over peer-reviewed 150 articles (citations: 6600+, H-index = 51, until 9/2021 according to Google Scholar) in some prestigious international journals, such as Progress in Materials Science, Progress in Polymer Science, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Green Chemistry, Chemistry of Materials, Macromolecules, and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. He has also filed over 20 invention patents and delivered over 20 keynotes and invited talks at international/domestic conferences. As a Chief Investigator, to date he has secured over 30 research grants from different funding bodies, such as Australian Research Council and National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Wen, Xin: -
Dr. Xin Wen obtained his bachelor's degree in Chemistry Engineering and Technology from Jilin University in 2005, and his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and Physics of Polymers at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Since 2018, he worked as scientific researcher at West Pomeranian University of Technology, Poland. His research focuses on synthesis of flame retardants for high-performance polymer composites, recycle of waste polymers, and functional nano-carbon materials. He has published more than 80 publications (citation 2400, H index = 32, Google Scholar) in the peer-reviewed prestigious international journals, registered 6 invention patents and gave the presentations on international conferences over 10 times. As independent PI or Participant, he has undertaken 10 research projects funded by European Union, National Science Centre of Poland, and National Centre for Research Development of Poland.
Zhang, Yan: -
Dr. Yan Zhang obtained her bachelor and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry Engineering and Technology from Tianjin University of Technology in 2000 and Zhejiang University in 2006. Since 2007, she worked as Teacher at NingboTech University (which was called as Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University), China. Her research focuses on synthesis of flame retardants derived from biomass or waste polymers for multifunctional polymeric materials. She has published more than 50 publications (citation 962, H index = 19, Google Scholar) in the peer-reviewed prestigious international journals such as ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Polymer, Polymer Degradation and Stability, etc. She was granted 15 invention patents. As a Professor in polymer science, she has undertaken over 10 research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, China.
