Growing, maturing, and strengthening in faith is difficult. The world throws all it can at you. Circumstances distract you and disappoint you. You feel weak. It is at your weakest point that your faith is stretched and growth begins. "Growing In the Garden of Faith" is filled with inspirational applications from everyday life along with biblical principles, designed to encourage the growth and strength we all need to face what life throws at us.

Carol Wert is a wife, mother and grandmother who lives in Kutztown, Pennsylvania with her husband, Michael, and their two rescue dogs, Sally and Angel. This is her third book. Her first, "Grace A View From the Mountaintop," is an inspirational account of her mother's battle with and triumph over breast cancer. Sometimes the details aren't pretty, but the story of one family standing together in faith while facing the tragedy that is cancer reassures us that indeed hope is alive and shows the joy that abounds. The glorious mountaintop view may seem far off in the midst of trial but is always attainable through God's grace. Her second book, "Faces With Names," chronicles the plight of those without homes. No longer should we cross to the other side of the street or look on them with judgment or derision. These are our brothers and sisters in this thing called life, as much as those who are our blood. It is her hope that these stories are an inspiration to others to gain an understanding, reach out, and extend the hand of mercy and grace to those so desperately in need.
