Wissenschaftliche Studie aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Wohnen und Stadtsoziologie, Note: 1,3, Universität Hamburg (Soziologie), Veranstaltung: Mobilität und Migration, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Binnenmigration innerhalb Deutschlands, das bedeutet die Abwanderung von einem Gebiet in ein anderes, ist ein aktuelles Thema und hat eine hohe politische Relevanz. Wer aus welchen Gründen umzieht und wohin ist deshalb wichtig zu erfahren, um einen Ausgleich schaffen zu können zwischen ungleichen Verhältnissen, die in unterschiedlichen Bundesländern und Regionen vorherrschen. Berthold und Müller (2010) fanden in einer Studie heraus, dass das Bruttoinlandprodukt im Jahr 2008 in Ostdeutschland bei knapp 70% des westdeutschen BIP pro Kopf lag (Berthold & Müller 2010: 593). Dies bedeutet, dass es auch Jahrzehnte nach der Wiedervereinigung hohe Unterschiede in den Einkommensverteilungen zwischen Ostdeutschland und Westdeutschland gibt. Studien bestätigen, dass viele Wanderungen zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschland stattfinden (Flöthmann 2002: 1) und diese zum Teil auf die Arbeitsmigration zurückzuführen sind. Arbeits- und auch Bildungsmigration werden als gro e Einflüsse gesehen, um zu erklären, warum Menschen abwandern (Pekkala & Tervo 2002: 622, 628). Sie dienen als ein Ausgleichsmechanismus, als eine Anpassung an den Arbeitsmarkt: Wer in seinem Wohnort keine passende Arbeits- oder Ausbildungsstelle finden kann, sucht überregional und vergrö ert seine Chancen, au erhalb etwas passendes zu finden (vgl. Kley 2010: 3, 5f.; Kley 2013: 138). Erwerbstätige oder bildungsorientierte Personen ziehen aus diesem Grund eher aus Regionen mit niedrigem Lohnniveau und hoher Arbeitslosigkeit in Ortschaften, die ein hohes Lohnniveau und eine geringe Arbeitslosigkeit aufweisen (vgl.
