Dieses Buch ist begleitend zum Werk "Grundkurs Informatik" entstanden und orientiert sich an dessen Aufbau. So können Sie das Gelernte direkt anwenden. Natürlich können Sie das Übungsbuch "Grundlagen der Informatik" auch in Kombination mit anderen Lehrbüchern verwenden.

Die Aufgaben decken ein breites Themenspektrum ab

Zunächst stehen die Grundlagen der Informatik im Bereich der Zahlendarstellung im Fokus. Der Autor behandelt unterschiedliche Systeme, beispielsweise Zahlensysteme der binären Arithmetik. Professor Dr. Jochen Schmidt studierte Informatik an der FH Nürnberg und der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, wo er anschließend lange in Forschung und Lehre auf dem Gebiet des maschinellen Lernens und Computer Vision tätig war. Es folgte ein mehrjähriger Forschungsaufenthalt an der Auckland University of Technology in Neuseeland als stellvertretender Direktor des Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research. Er hat Industrieerfahrung in der Automotive-Software-Entwicklung für Fahrerassistenzsysteme und ist seit 2010 Professor für Informatik an der Technischen Hochschule Rosenheim, mit Schwerpunkt Computer Vision und maschinelles Lernen.
