Die Fortschritte der Halbleiter-Leistungsbauelemente - Siliziumdioden, Thyristoren und Leistungstransistoren - haben ihren Durchbruch entscheidend geför- dert. Die Leistungselektronik ist heute eine in weiten Bereichen konsolidierte Technik. Auf Sondergebieten, wie den stromrichtergespeisten Drehstrommaschinen, ist die Ent- wicklung noch im Flu . Leistungselektronik ist eine komplexe Technik. Sie umfa t den Leistungsteil, also die Stromrichterschaltung, und den Steuer-und Regelteil sowie Hilfsstromkreise und Schutzeinrichtungen. Regelungstechnisch ist ein Stromrichter Leistungsstellglied in einem Regelkreis. Zwischen der elektrischen Energiequelle und dem Stromrichter einer- seits und dem Stromrichter und der Last andererseits treten Wechselwirkungen auf. Zielsetzung dieses Buches ist eine leicht verständliche Darstellung der Grundlagen der Leistungselektronik. Dabei wird der Versuch unternommen, systematische Merkmale herauszuarbeiten, um das Gebiet überschaubar zu machen. Eine allgemeine System- theorie der Stromrichter kann sich auf wenige Elemente beschränken. Die Stromrichter werden nach ihrer inneren Wirkungsweise, nämlich der Art der Kom- mutierung, unterschieden und behandelt. So wird die Schaltungstechnik von Halbleiter- schaltern und -stellern, von fremdgefOOrten und von selbstgefOOrten Stromrichtern dar- gestellt. Au erdem werden die elektrischen und thermischen Eigenschaften der Lei- stungsbauelemente sowie deren Beschaltung, Zündung und Kühlung beschrieben. Auch das Zusammenwirken von Stromrichter und Netz bzw. Stromrichter und Last wird behandelt. Die Untersuchung der energetischen Verhältnisse fOOrt zu allgemeinen Aus- sagen. Anwendungsschwerpunkte von Stromrichtern mit Leistungs-und Frequenzbe- reich werden aufgezeigt. Auf manche Details wird bewu t verzichtet und auf weiter- fOOrendes Schrifttum verwiesen.
