Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Mareczek studierte an der TU-München Elektro- und Informationstechnik mit Schwerpunkten Regelungstechnik und Robotik. Für seine anschließende Forschung im Bereich nichtlinearer Regelung am Lehrstuhl für Steuerungs- und Regelungstechnik erhielt er 2002 den Doktor-Ingenieursgrad. Es folgten 12 Jahre Industrietätigkeit in der Forschung, Entwicklung und Serienreifmachung mobiler Entschärfungsroboter, Manipulatoren und Master-Slave-Systeme. Während dieser Zeit konnte er als Leiter unterschiedlicher Fachbereiche sowie durch diverse Aufgaben im Projektmanagement auch interdisziplinäre Erfahrungen aufbauen.

2014 folgte Dr. Mareczek dem Ruf der Hochschule Landshut und übernahm dort das Lehrgebiet Robotik im Fachbereich Elektrotechnik und Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen. Seine Lehrtätigkeit umfasst neben der Robotik auch Ingenieurmathematik und Projektmanagement. Seine Forschungsinteressen liegen im Bereich von Master-Slave-Systemen, Regelung von Leichtbau-Manipulatoren, Pfad- und Bahnplanung unter dem Einfluss von Singularitäten, Dynamik sowie künstlicher Intelligenz.
