Trotz der Fiille der Auswahl ist aber die tagliche Arbeit im klinischen Laboratorium, in der Prosektur und im pathologischen Institut gliicklicherweise meist nur auf eine ge- ringe Anzahl von Methoden angewiesen, die vollkommen das leisten, was zu einer exakten Untersuchung und Diagnose notig ist. Aus dieser Erkenntnis sind in dem vorliegenden Werkchen mit bewuBter Absicht nur diejenigen Untersuchungsmethoden und Farbungsarten aufgenommen, die immer und immer wieder unerlaBlich sind und auch nach jeder Richtung hin genii gen. Das Buch solI eine "erste Rilfe" sein, die es ermoglicht, rasch den besten und sichersten Weg der Untersuchung zu finden, sowie zu lemen, die vielen kleinen und groBeren Un- gliicksfalle beim Arbeiten mit Mikrotom, Farben und Mikro- skop rechtzeitig zu erkennen, zu iiberwinden und ganz zu ver- meiden cis, tuto et iucunde.
