It's totally obvious that we are so much more than simply the physical bodies we inhabit. We are immortal spiritual beings with boundless possibilities. Even though that's all we think sometimes, our bodies are just a very tiny portion of who we are. We are simply too infinite to have the true source of our physical illness be physical. As we go on as this civilization we find that healing someone's physical body without addressing their spiritual needs is not going to last. We find that we must be more involved in our whole healing process. We must allow us to heal ourselves and to discover alternative ways to do this. We must realize that in addition to our conventional medicine, there are also very effective healing alternatives out there. Some of them invite our infinite potential and resourcefulness to be involved. And, yes, we must realize that the key to lasting physical healing is not always found in toxic drugs, harassment by invasive surgeries, or wasted treasure. Sometimes, healing is not about bothering our bodies, but bothering to use our own consciousness.My own journey to get a better understanding of how our consciousness can be used for healing took me to the discovery of the 27 methods in this book. Some of the methods came from my upbringing. Others came from my friends who've shared them with me. Other methods started from seeing the same points made in various books from past to present thinkers. And others came from what I think maybe past experiences when this sort of knowledge was more common. As I used these methods, I became thoroughly convinced that conscious healing methods are the most important source of physical health. And that they must be shared with others because it's just too big of a subject for one person to have. I'm not sure what someone else in a similar position would have called these types of methods, but in my mind I simply referred to them as 'healing without lifting a finger'. Likewise, I tried to come up with a simple name for each of the methods. As years went by I decided to do what I could to share these views. One thing that emerged again and again on this journey is that healing is a free thing and truly anyone can have it. Healing is in the frame of mind and how we see the reality around us, and also how we choose to construct our reality. The alternate reality that I discovered for myself is that our ability to heal without lifting a finger is a totally natural thing. This ability is not even so much a gift to us. It's a given before we lose our awareness and get in the way of our own spiritual development.
