This book of poetry reveals my thoughts about life and love. Love, especially, is prized by all.Love may drive us to the brink of madness, or cause us tolie upon the floor, crippled with pain. Other times, we fly high, like a balloon in a secret sky.A sky that only one 'other' knows exists.Perhaps even the 'other' does not know of its existence.There may be some people who can relate to some of the issues raised, while others cannot. Humanity is diverse and each individual will have had unique experiences. Each has a story to tell. I believe that many of us who write poetry, also find a release from the pains we have experienced in life. In fact, if all was joy, we may lulled by pleasures, and never have the incentive to write at all.Although I have written other forms of poetry, I love the iambic beat of the Sonnet form and the rhyming patterns. The iambic beat comprises ten beats to a line - strong beat, soft beat; the rhythms of the English language. It has a musical quality when read aloud.In this collection of Sonnets and Sestinas, I have written twenty-six new Sonnets, as well as including a selection from my other seven books
