En este volumen me propongo examinar las relaciones de la hermenéutica con el estudio de la realidad. Por supuesto que ello nos conducirá a un realismo, un realismo analógico, pero, sobre todo, al conocimiento de esa realidad que tanto nos atañe como es el ser humano. Es el empeño de construir una hermenéutica analógica. Para tener una idea de ese instrumento conceptual, comienzo con una exposición del concepto de analogía en la historia, para llegar a la actualidad que puede tener una hermenéutica analógica. Ahora, después del univocismo de la modernidad, impera el equivocismo de la posmodernidad, y por eso se necesita un analogismo que nos haga salir de ese impasse. Tal será la función de la hermenéutica analógica.


En esa línea y registro de la antropología filosófica, pero apoyada por la hermenéutica, introduzco el tema de las humanidades, haciendo hincapié en la necesidad de revisar su enseñanza en las universidades. Son sumamente necesarias, pero hay que hacer un replanteamiento de su enseñanza. Siempre se las ha querido hacer que imiten a las ciencias naturales, siendo que ellas, como se vio, tienen su estatuto epistemológico propio, que es hermenéutico. Por eso, se habla de la hermenéutica como un instrumento útil y valioso para la docencia en humanidades.
