This volume combines two reference books that have had the approval of Hispanic evangelicals: 'Hermeneutics' and 'Introduction to the Bible'. The first writer was E. Lund, a profound teacher in Biblical studies. This book would meet a need in the Hispanic evangelic community. The second writer is Alicia C. Luce. Her book answers many of the questions in regard to the origin and translation of the Bible. Editorial Vida presents this book not only for the pastor, evangelist and the working Christian, but for all those who have a passion for Biblical studies.

Luce, Alice E.: -

Nació en Gloucester (Inglaterra). Su padre era pastor de la Iglesia Anglicana en Gloucester. Convertida a los 10 años de edad, pronto manifestó una verdadera pasión por las almas. Después de estudiar enfermería y teología fue enviada por la Sociedad Misionera de la Iglesia (MCS) a trabajar como misionera en la India (1896). Allí desarrolló una labor educativa y espiritual entre las mujeres. En 1910 conoció dos mujeres que decían haber sido bautizadas en el Espíritu. Convencida de que semejante experiencia venía de Dios, oró y ella también creyó haber recibido ese mismo bautismo de poder.

Fue la primera mujer pentecostal en exponer los principios de la "iglesia indígena", basados en la independencia de las iglesias nacionales, gobernadas por creyentes del lugar y reproduciéndose por sus mismas fuerzas y talentos. Luce creyó que los métodos apostólicos aplicados a la obra misionera serían seguidos por el poder y la demostración del Espíritu, en salvación de almas y fundación de iglesias.
