Mehboob Khan's 'Mother India' and Ramesh Sippy's 'Sholay' also ran for a year in Iran. It is pleasant to see that this journey of twelve hundred films from Raj Kapoor's 'Shree 420 (1954-55) to Amitabh Bachchan's 'Naseeb' (1984-85) which started from Iran via Britain, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Israel, Thailand, Greece reached the whole world. Ajit Rai - Ajit Rai is a well-known film and theatrical critic, cultural journalist and editor of the country. He has been working for almost all the important national newspapers-magazines and radio- television of the country for the last 35 years.
