Cornell Christianson has led or organized over 400 musical shows at nursing homes, Veterans homes and children's hospitals in Los Angeles and the New York City area. At these shows, volunteer singers and musicians of all ages and all levels of talent joined in sing-a-longs with the residents, patients and children. The shows were interactive with the audiences and included comedy skits, contests, songs, quizzes, jokes and prayers. Each show had a holiday theme for that month such as Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's, or Mother's Day. The New Jersey State Senate awarded Christianson a Citation for service to the community, which was presented by State Senator Bob Gordon. Certificates of Appreciation have also been awarded by several convalescent hospitals in Los Angeles.
