Desde niño he sido un gran lector: empecé con libros de piratas y me introduje paulatinamente en libros de psicología, filosofía y metafísica, pero nunca abandoné la lectura de las novelas, cuentos y narraciones de estilo diverso.Cuando leo me entrego sin preconceptos a lo escrito por el autor. Eso es lo que creía hasta que inicié la lectura de este libro de Ramiro Guzmán. Las dos primeras páginas fueron suficientes para saber que mis lecturas no eran tan desprejuiciadas como creía .Tuve que volver a leerlas varias veces hasta que cobré conciencia que yo buscaba algo en la lectura, de lo cual no era consciente. Trataré de decir lo que me pasó, con una metáfora. Me encontré de pronto como si hubiera caído en un mar proceloso, muy movido y cambiante, en el cual tuve que aprender a sobrevivir sin puntos de apoyo salvadores. Esto último era lo que yo buscaba, sin saberlo, islotes de racionalidad sobre los cuales sentirme seguro. Volví a leer, una y otra vez, las primeras páginas del libro, anheloso de pisar tierra firme, sin conseguirlo, porque Ramiro Guzmán me tiraba siempre al mar, un símbolo arquetípico que a él le importa mucho y que cita ocho veces en la primera página del libro. Hasta que supe que esa incertidumbre mía, esa radical inseguridad existencial era lo que tenía que aprender a aceptar en mí mismo. Después de muchas décadas de existencia nada tímida y sí algo aventurera, como toda vida, había sabido que la vida mundana no es siempre fácil y segura en ningún aspecto: laboral, sentimental, ideológico y tantos otros. Pero es con el libro de Ramiro Guzmán que aprendí a soltarme del todo y dejar de lado una cierta crispación ansiosa en busca de islas de racionalidad patente. En lugar de utilizar un juicio crítico cómodo y fácil del libro- me gusta o no me gusta, como último reducto de mi resistencia defensiva ante lo nuevo, con lo cual sólo hubiera conseguido "tapar" la realidad- descubrí la existencia literaria de la "superficie cambiante". Esta noción la había formulado en 1976, en un libro escrito en Francia, con la colaboración del doctor Jean-Claude Benoit, sobre la base técnica de lo que llamé " activación pictográfica". Estimulando la producción de dibujos espontáneos, a punto de partida de los símbolos producidos por un sujeto, en la Prueba de Anticipación, era posible observar que su alma se actualizaba en una secuencia fluida de dibujos. La " profundidad" había desaparecido. Y todo eso le pertenecía por entero al sujeto pues yo era casi únicamente un espectador...activador. Todo estaba ahí frente a mí, desplegado en imágenes sencillas y ricas de sentido.
