Shomo, Anisa: - Anisa Shomo, MD (she/her) is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and Geriatric specialist who practices medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Shomo is a graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the Ohio State University. She completed her Family Medicine residency and Geriatrics fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati and The Christ Hospital. She currently serves as the President of the Cincinnati Medical Association. She is a member of various health advocacy groups in Cincinnati. She owns two health and wellness businesses: Dr Shomo Knows, LLC and Health is Love, LLC. Through her businesses, she discusses trauma informed care; grief counseling; and building constructive coping skills for better health and happiness. Her work with the community earned her the honor of being the first African American woman physician to be featured on the Cincinnati Magazine Top Doctors issue in 2023. She also received the Who's Who in Black Cincinnati award in 2023.
