Greene, Maighréad: - Maighréad Greene is an experienced psychotherapist and a fully accredited play therapist with the IAPTP. She has over 20 years' experience of working jointly with young people and their parents or carers. She has extensive experience working as a full-time play therapist in community, school and private settings. Maighréad uses art, toys and, in particular, sand, clay and stories in her work with children. She often writes her own stories for the children she is working with to help them in processing their own challenging situations. These stories help by creating an imaginary or parallel situation which they can relate to. This can support them to process some of their own difficulties in their lives.
