Since the birth of lexicography, many repertoires have been published: vocabularies, treasures, lexicons or dictionaries. Within the latter, different types can be distinguished according to their purpose: monolingual dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, illustrated dictionaries, doubt dictionaries, specialized dictionaries, synonym dictionaries, school dictionaries or, among others, historical dictionaries.
