Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four, better known as the red-hot high-flying Human Torch, stars in his own solo adventures!

Johnny Storm is the youngest member of the world-famous Fantastic Four, with the powers and temperament of fire itself. He's impulsive, restless and thrill-seeking by nature -- and now, his past is coming back to haunt him, big time! Years ago, after gaining his powers, Johnny soon became the most popular student at his high school -- but the Big Man on Campus before then was Olympic-bound wrestler Mike Snow. The Snow/Storm rivalry reached a terrible climax when the two fought over a girl. Now a firefighter, Snow hoped he would never lay eyes on Johnny again -- until one of his colleagues dies before his eyes, inexplicably bursting into flames! To solve the mystery plaguing New York's Bravest, the Human Torch will have to fight fire with fire!

Prolific writer/penciler/inker Karl Kesel inked the acclaimed Mark Waid/Mike Wieringo run of Fantastic Four; he has also written several FF stories himself, including issue #56 (2002), which revealed the Thing's Jewish heritage. His work spans Marvel time and space, ranging from Fantastic Four 2099 to Marvel Apes. At DC, he wrote the 1980s Hawk and Dove, and multiple Superman titles and spinoffs, including his co-creation Superboy (Kon-El). For Dark Horse, he worked on media tie-ins Indiana Jones and Aliens: Space Marines. Back at Marvel, he scripted miniseries Captain America: The 1940s Newspaper Strip, which he also illustrated, and Captain America: Patriot.

Skottie Young has worked in both comics and animation for Warner Bros., Universal, Spike TV, Mattel, Fisher Price, Marvel, Dark Horse, Image and more. His distinctively stylized artwork graced runs on Human Torch, Venom, Spider-Man: Legend of the Spider-Clan and a revamp of New Warriors. He also drew the X-Men/Runaways team-up for Free Comic Book Day 2006 and a run of New X-Men. Young won acclaim from fans and critics alike with Marvel's series of New York Times-bestselling and Eisner Award-winning adaptations of L. Frank Baum's Oz novels with writer Eric Shanower. His Young Marvel variant covers became a sensation, leading to their own Secret Wars limited series, Giant-Size Little Marvel: AVX. Also a flourishing writer, Young brought his flair for madcap antics delivered in his trademark kinetic style to Marvel's Rocket Raccoon and Deadpool, as well as acclaimed creator-owned series I Hate Fairyland, Middlewest and The Me You Love In The Dark. He lives in Kansas with his wife, two sons, and two dogs.
