Zweitens hatten aIle an dern Buch Beteiligten hochgesteckte Ziele, namlich die Human genetik in ihrer thematischen Vielfalt darzustellen; dement sprechend enthalt jetzt der vorliegende Band zytogenetische, biochemische, immunologische und rnolekularbiologische Ver suchsanleitungen. Ein kurzer Blick in einschlagige Zeitschriften lehrt uns, daB sich die Humangenetik in den letzten Jahren thematisch und methodisch sttirmisch entwickelt hat. Ftir die biologische Grund lagenforschung und die praktische Medizin, insbesondere die humangenetische Diagnostik und Beratung, hat diese Entwicklung auBerordentliche Bedeutung. So erscheint es wichtig, daB der Btichermarkt ein deutschsprachiges Buch tiber viele aktuelle Methoden der Humangenetik bereithalt. Der vorliegende Band wird diesem Bedarf gewiB gerecht.
