In diesem Sinne soil das vorliegende Fachbuch als eine Informa- tionsquelle flir ein wichtiges Teilgebiet der Steuerungstechnik dienen. Die Hydraulik als ein wesentlicher Teil der Fluidtechnik befaBt sich mit der Steuerung und Obertragung von Kraften und Bewegungen mittels Fliissigkeiten. Entsprechend unter- scheidet man deshalb in der Technik zwischen hydraulischen Steuerungen und hydrau- lischen Antrieben, letztere wiederum in hydrostatische und hydrodynamische Antriebe. Da auch bei den hydraulischen Steuerungen iiberwiegend die GesetzmaBigkeiten der Hydrostatik Anwendung finden, sind Gemeinsamkeiten mit hydrostatischen Antrieben gegeben. Die hydraulischen Steuerungen und Antriebe bieten oft die beste Mbglichkeit, Bewegun- gen beim automatisierten Fertigungsvorgang optimal zu realisieren. Insbesondere lassen sich durch Stetigventile Geschwindigkeiten und Krafte bzw. Drehmomente dem Ferti- gungsprozeB exakt anpassen. Bei der Uberarbeitung dieses Buches wurde deshalb neben der Anpassung der Schalt- plane an das jetzt giiltige Normblatt fUr Schaltzeichen der fluid is chen Gerate und Systeme (DIN ISO 1219) auch das Kapitel Proportionalventile neu aufgenommen. Diese Bauarten der Stetigventile sind eine preiswerte und robuste Alternative zu den Servoventilen und sie haben der Hydraulik neue Bereiche erschlossen.
