Währen des Unterrichts kann dieser keine Minute still sitzen, wie die anderen zuhören, sich melden, in Ruhe seinen Arbeitsauftrag erledigen. Philipp ist immer in Bewegung. Er wechselt ständig seine Sitzposition, oft kniet er auf dem Stuhl, manchmal fällt er vor lauter zappeln herunter. Sei Tisch ist ein wahres Chaos, weil er es nicht schafft, Ordnung zu halten. Immer wieder läuft er von seinem Platz weg, zur Lehrerin nach vorn, zu anderen Kindern hin, womit Konflikte vorprogrammiert sind. Er kann sich kaum einige Augenblicke auf eine Arbeit konzentrieren, schon wird er wieder durch irgend etwas abgelenkt und in Bewegung versetzt. Besonders im Sportunterricht und in der Pause gibt es immer wieder Zusammenstö e mit anderen Schülern, weil er sich in seinem Bewegungsdrang nicht bremsen lässt und andere übersieht. Die Mitschüler halten Philipp für verrückt. Die Lehrerin ist deshalb so verzweifelt, weil ihre Erziehungsmittel, die bei anderen Kindern erfolgreich sind, bei Philipp versagen. Er scheint weder durch Ermahnung, Zurechtweisungen, Strafen, noch durch positive Zuwendungen beeinflu bar zu sein. In Gesprächen beteuert er, sich zu bessern, sich zusammenzunehmen; ein Versprechen, das gerade fünf Minuten durchhält...."
