"I AM" is a set of daily affirmations designed to help us "renew our minds" and believe that we are who God says we are. God has blessed us, share it. His favor is upon us, reveal it. The joy of the Lord is our strength, shout it. Say out loud your "I AM" declarations so that you can hear yourself say who you are in Christ. In order to live life to the fullest, you have to believe that you are who Gods says you are, you can do what God says you can do, and you have what God says you can have. God is faithful, and we have His Word on it. Believe it. Live it. Too many times, we allow people to get into our heads, and we start living out what they say about us. We believe we're ugly if someone calls us that. We allow ourselves to fail because someone says that we will. We call ourselves sick based on the doctor's diagnosis. But, let's flip that script and start saying what God says about us! We cannot be ugly because we were "created in His image and His likeness", and God says "we are fearfully and wonderfully made". No way can we fail because "we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength" and we are "more than conquerors". Regardless of what the doctor says, we are healed "by His stripes". As you rehearse these affirmations and internalize them, I pray that your will begin to believe them! I pray for your strength. I pray for your peace. I pray for your joy. And I pray that God will allow you to see that you are all that He has created you to be. Say them aloud. Hear yourself say about you what God says about you: I AM victorious. I AM faithful. I AM a believer. I AM healed. I AM redeemed. I AM rejoicing. I AM holy. I AM righteous. I AM free! God does not see us as we were or even as we are; God sees us as we will be. And that, my sister, is perfect and whole, with nothing missing and nothing broken, because we will become just as He is. That is the picture of a glorious new you. That is the reality of realizing that in Christ, "I AM"!

Barbara A. Walker is an avid student of the Word whose passion is empowering women. The oldest of ten siblings, Barbara grew up in Alabama with a strong desire to teach in public school. Not realizing that dream, God has turned that passion toward teaching His Word in every setting possible. Barbara is the mother of four and grandmother of six. From nine to five, she is an insurance professional. At all other times, she is a "Woman on a Mission"! Ask anyone who knows her, and they will tell you that Barbara is a survivor! With God's help, she has grown stronger following each obstacle life has presented. She survived an abusive marriage, breast cancer, and recently-diagnosed cardiomyopathy. She has lived the truth of God's enduring power, emerging from each battle with a more powerful testimony. Barbara currently resides in Aurora, Illinois and serves at the Main Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Julian E. Spencer. She is a teacher of an adult Sunday school class, a member of the Hospitality and Prayer Ministries, and the Coordinator of the Church's Women's Ministry. She spends her "spare" time publishing a daily devotional entitled W.O.E. (Women of Excellence) Word and speaking at local churches, women's shelters, and various other groups. She loves traveling, particularly cruising, and has a general passion for life. Barbara epitomizes the "I AM!" philosophy of life.
