The full story of how Peter Mt. Shasta became a student of Saint Germain, and all the lessons, tests, and trials that led up to the the appearance of the Ascended Masters to dictate this book, is told in his two-volume autobiography: "Adventures of a Western Mystic."

Masters, Ascended: - The Ascended Masters were once humans in earthly embodiment, but through purifying their thoughts and emotions and raising their vibratory rate, they ascended into a higher dimension. From that realm they work to assist humanity. They hear every thought directed to them, and respond accordingly. They are both female and male, and from every race. Some of their names are: Saint Germain, Kuthumi, El Morya, El Serapis Bey, Quan Yin, Mother Mary, and Hilarion.

Mt Shasta, Peter: - The Ascended Master Saint Germain materialized before Peter Mt. Shasta in Muir Woods, near San Francisco in 1973, and directed him to go to Mount Shasta, where he would receive instruction on how to contact his Higher Self, the I AM Presence. Prior to this, he was in India with Baba Ram Dass and his guru Maharajji. After many years of training by the Masters, Peter was given the discourses contained in this small book.
