Jonathan Visbal was born ambitious, eager to live the American dream and find success. A graduate of the prestigious Stanford Business School, Visbal joined a successful startup company and rose to the pinnacle of his career as a leadership advisor and executive recruiter at Spencer Stuart, where his clients included top Silicon Valley technology companies. And throughout his successful career, he never lost sight of his ultimate goal: living a life of adventure.

In this rollicking memoir, readers will ride pillion for Visbal's thousands of miles of adventure riding throughout the Western United States, Europe and South America; share his thrilling, sometimes perilous, days riding wind and water from California to Maui, South Africa, and New Zealand; and join him onstage with his band, Jonnie Lipps and the Boardheads -- the world's first windsurfing rock 'n' roll band -- as well as superstars John Lee Hooker and Elvin Bishop and others.

Visbal also raises the alarm about the devastation of climate change and the steady erosion of freedom in our technological world, but refuses to surrender his optimism for the future.

Jonathan Visbal serves as Chairman of the World Affairs Council in San Francisco, and on other boards including Yawye, Inc., a startup company exploring the use of emojis to measure employee sentiment. He has taught managerial ethics at Stanford University and served as an adjunct professor in international telecommunications at the University of San Francisco. He has traveled to 75 countries, lived in Europe and Latin America for 16 years, is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese. He, his wife and two daughters live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
