Vivian Carroll Jones is an Arkansas native born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Cortez and Victoria Carroll, the seventh of ten children. Ms. Jones has chronicled a historical account of her great-grandparents, grandparents, parents and other family members that came after them. She recalls their lifestyle, their fortitude and their faith. Ms. Jones received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, in 1984. She later received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences in 2003 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a retired licensed nurse, a retired school teacher, and business owner. She has also authored several published books that are currently in print. She is a licensed minister of the gospel. She is involved in the social and spiritual uplift of others and her community.
