Illustrated Review of Neuroanatomy: 3 Dimensional Perspective is a review guide that combines features of a text and an atlas and offers a concise description of the human nervous system from both functional (motor, sensory and autonomic) and anatomical (peripheral and central) perspectives. There are twenty one chapters and each chapter is presented in an outline format that describes the most important features of each system. The highlight of this book are the exceptional three-dimensional illustrations that allow visualization of various neuroanatomical structures. Three-dimensional illustrations provide an accurate presentation of complex neuroanatomical structures and pathways in their entirety, from origin to termination. Illustrations provide a new approach to mastering neuroanatomical details by clarifying the spatial relationship of structures of the brain, allowing a visual journey as each neurological pathway is traced and colored, based on information described in each chapter. Also included are diagrams that emphasize the clinical applications of the anatomy presented in each chapter. This book is designed to help the student learn the material, comprehend the subject, develop concepts and be able to understand and solve clinical problems. It also provides a basis for easy review of each chapter that would complement any neuroanatomy text and is designed as a review guide for course examinations preparation. This book would be of value to undergraduate students in the allied health sciences, as well as to graduate students, including individuals in the areas of rehabilitation and cognitive science research.
