Greg Sullivan's improv techniques and insights will help experienced improvisers achieve better results and enable aspiring performers to develop their listening, creative and teamwork skills. The exercises and forms in this book are ones which Greg has taught to great effect for over 20 years. While there's no substitute for a live class, this book is the next best thing and for a fraction of the cost of taking the many classes required to cover all of this material. Included are the full text of both IMPROV LESSONS #5 and IMPROV LESSONS #6. This book adds even more value by providing the reader with the full text of THE GS Improv Technique book. Greg Sullivan has taught at his own GS IMPROV classes in NYC since 1997. He was a substitute at HB Studio (13 years), founded the improv troupe KLAATU and was featured in three BACK STAGE cover stories. He is the author of twelve published titles on improv, including The Improv Show Book (which details how to stage a great short-form improv show), Improv for Kids, Improv Lessons # 1 & 2 and Improv Lessons # 3 & 4. Greg is the Book Review Editor and Podcast Host for Flight Journal magazine's "Flying Off the Shelves." In 2016 he founded The Bookworms, an improv troupe at the Mount Kisco Public Library which raises funds for library programs. Greg has also performed numerous traditional stage roles, including the male leads in Arsenic & Old Lace, The Mousetrap, Rehearsal for Murder, Romantic Comedy and Strange Bedfellows. He has studied with many wonderful acting teachers, including Michael Beckett, Ginny Borton, Sam Groom, Anne Jackson, Rasa Allan Kazlas, Salem Ludwig, John Monteith, and Austin Pendleton. Greg lives in Mount Kisco, NY, with his wife and daughter.

Greg Sullivan loves/lives the George Eliot quote "It's never too late to be what you might have been." Greg was born in Yonkers, NY. He has a BA from Holy Cross and an MBA from Oswego State. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force. A lifelong passion for acting led to a focus on comedy improvisation for 21 years and counting. Greg studied improv at The Rockland Center for the Arts, HB Studio and Chicago City Limits. In 1997 he began his own independent, and still active, GS Improv classes. The following year he founded his troupe, KLAATU, which returns to the stage in November 2016. From 1997 - 2009, less than two years after starting his studies there, he served as a substitute teacher for improv at HB Studio in NYC. He has been featured in three Back Stage cover stories. In August 2016 Greg released eleven how-to improv eBooks, including one on performing a great short-form comedy improv show: "The Improv Show Book." It attained a #1 ranking on Amazon. His latest book "Improv for Kids" was published SEP 23 and has appeared on Kindle's "Hot New Releases" list. That book, and The Improv Show Book, are among his titles which are also available in print. Greg is now writing his first novel, a thriller set in 1949 Paraguay. In August 2016 Greg was named Book Review Editor and Podcast Host for Flight Journal magazine's upcoming column "Flying Off the Shelves." In fall 2016, Greg will launch an improv troupe, The Bookworms, based at the library in his current hometown of Mount Kisco, NY. Performances are November 18 and 19 at the library.. Greg lives with his wife and daughter in Mount Kisco, NY, and still likes to occasionally spoil good walks.
