Sieger, Matt: - Formerly a sportswriter for the Cortland (New York) Standard and The Vacaville (California) Reporter, as well as a freelance writer for several magazines, Sieger has compiled his work into a collection of fascinating columns with an emphasis on the human element of sports.Sieger, who has a B.A. from Cornell University and a master's degree in magazine journalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School, is the author of The God Squad: The Born-Again San Francisco Giants of 1978. He lives in Martinez, California, the birthplace of Joe DiMaggio.
