Die zwanzig Beiträge in diesem Sammelband liefern umfassende Einblicke in die Forschungsergebnisse und schildern die gemeinsamen Erfahrungen der Partner aus produzierenden Unternehmen, Software- und Hardware-Anbietern sowie Forschungseinrichtungen. Im Fokus steht die Entwicklung von Lösungen, die in einem modularen Referenzbaukasten zusammengefasst sind. Dieser Baukasten unterstützt industrielle Datenanalysen und deren Integration in betriebliche Abläufe. Er fördert darüber hinaus eine kompetenzorientierte Zusammenarbeit und ermöglicht somit die Initiierung neuer Geschäftsmodelle und Kollaborationen.

Das Buch richtet sich an Praktiker: innen aus der Industrie ebenso wie an Wissenschaftler: innen. Es liefert Impulse und bietet Hilfestellungen, um den Herausforderungen der digitalen Transformation zu begegnen und die Zukunft der industriellen Datenanalyse erfolgreich zu gestalten.

Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Deuse ist Leiter des Instituts für Produktionssysteme der Technischen Universität Dortmund und hält seit 2005 die Professur für Arbeits- und Produktionssysteme (APS). Seit 2019 leitet er außerdem das Centre for Advanced Manufacturing an der University of Technology Sydney in Australien.
Ralf Klinkenberg ist Gründer und Forschungsleiter von RapidMiner, einer Software-Plattform für Data Science, Maschinelles Lernen und Predictive Analytics mit über 1 Mio. registrierten Anwendern weltweit. Er verfügt über 30 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Künstliche Intelligenz, Maschinelles Lernen und industrieller Datenanalyse-Anwendungen. Im Projekt AKKORD, das er als Konsortialführer leitete, entwickelte RapidMiner eine KI-Toolbox, die Anwender ohne KI-Expertise befähigt, KI und ML zu nutzen.
Nikolai West ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des Instituts für Produktionssysteme der Technischen Universität Dortmund und promoviert zum Themenfeld der unüberwachten Anomalieerkennung im Qualitätsmanagement. Im Forschungsprojekt AKKORD hat er die operative Projektleitung übernommen und eine zentrale Rolle bei der Umsetzung der industriellen Datenanalyse ausgefüllt.
