Les helminthes sont des parasites qui vivent dans le tractus gastro-intestinal (TGI) humain. Les infections helminthiques (IH) comptent parmi les infections les plus graves chez les patients atteints du VIH/SIDA. L'�tat nutritionnel a �t� associ� � l'�tat et au fonctionnement immunitaires, ainsi qu'au risque d'IH, qui ont tous tendance � acc�l�rer la progression de la maladie du VIH. Cette �tude visait � �valuer les IH en relation avec l'�tat nutritionnel et le nombre de lymphocytes T CD4+ chez les patients atteints du VIH/SIDA fr�quentant l'h�pital de r�f�rence Felege Hiwot (FHRH) � Bahir Dar. Au total, 399 �chantillons de selles et de sang ont �t� pr�lev�s sur les sujets de l'�tude. Des techniques parasitologiques (montage humide direct, concentration au formol-�ther, culture de Bearmann et Harada mori) ont �t� utilis�es pour d�tecter les oeufs et les larves d'helminthes. Le nombre de lymphocytes T CD4+ a �t� mesur� afin d'�valuer l'�tat immunologique des sujets de l'�tude, et le taux d'h�moglobine a �t� d�termin� afin d'�valuer l'ampleur de l'an�mie et son association avec les IH et la progression de la maladie du VIH. Enfin, l'�tat nutritionnel des sujets �tudi�s a �t� �valu� � l'aide d'une �valuation anthropom�trique et d'une �valuation globale subjective (SGA).
