Ziel dieser Seminararbeit ist es, anhand der deduktiven Methode, möglichst viele Informationen über die Thematik auszuarbeiten und kausale Zusammenhänge zu erklären. Die erste Inflation wurde in Deutschland durch den Kriegsausbruch 1914 ausgelöst. Der Staat verschuldete sich durch die Finanzierung des Krieges immer mehr bei der Reichsbank und der Bevölkerung, die als Folge Banknoten in hohen Mengen ausdruckte. Nachdem der Krieg 1918 zu Ende war, stand die deutsche Regierung vor einer schwerwiegenden finanziellen Problematik. Durch die hohen Kriegsschulden im Inland und gegenüber den Siegermächten, nahm die deutsche Regierung mehrere Kredite bei der Reichsbank auf und brachte somit mehr Geld in den Umlauf. Im Jahr 1923 brach das Wirtschaftssystem, durch die galoppierende Inflation, schlie lich zu einer Hyperinflation zusammen. Die deutsche Währung sank so rapide, dass die Geldscheine nahezu wertlos waren. Händler tauschten Waren und Dienstleistungen nur noch gegen Lebensmittel oder Kohle aus, die als neues Zahlungsmittel dienten. Laut einer Umfrage sind heute 67% der befragten deutschen besorgt, dass es zu weiteren anhaltenden ansteigenden Lebenshaltungskosten kommen kann - Das sind 17% mehr als im Vorjahr. Bereits die Corona Pandemie Anfang 2020 stellte die Bundesregierung und die Europäische Zentralbank in der Geldpolitik vor gro en Herausforderungen.
