Whatever the reason, whatever the fundamental issue, the truth cannot be forced. A conviction must be based on accumulated evidence, and the accusations must be solidly founded from both sides of the courtroom. The science with a second look can have a completely different story. The truth is in the clues and verified with the science. The proverbial square peg should not be allowed to be forced into the round hole and yet it continues to happen. Rushing through the process can result in a wrongful accusation and perhaps worse a wrongful conviction.

Dana Way started her career working in a laboratory in 1989. While working as a Chemist for Commonwealth Laboratories and later for Roche Analytics Laboratories, she learned analysis and reporting, laboratory methods and procedures, method development, and worked with a variety of analysis instruments. In 2000 Dana Way started a company called Mira-Stat Corporation, a pharmaceutical development firm specializing in FDA controlled products. Dana also started work as an independent consultant for FDA controlled substances, poisons, toxic metals, and DNA. Her career path took a decidedly different turn, when a close friend died mysteriously. Dana was convinced her friend had been poisoned, but the Medical Examiner could not find the proof and the evidence went undetected. This incident propelled Dana on a journey of studying forensic science and she eventually started a company called 3rd Degree Investigations in 2005. Since then her work as a defense expert has sent her across the country where she has testified in both state and federal criminal and civil courtrooms. Additionally Dana has acted as a consultant for federal and state law enforcement agencies. Dana Way's pinnacle opportunity was to work on a contractual basis as the Chief Association Officer for the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute, the American Psychotherapy Association, and the American Association of Integrative Medicine in Springfield, Missouri. Here she assisted with developing new programs and training courses. Dana now resides in Oxford, North Carolina and continues her work on behalf of the accused.
