Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Englisch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1,0, Technische Universität Carolo-Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig (Englische Sprache und ihre Didaktik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mit der Einigung Europas wächst die Verantwortung der Lehrer, insbesondere aber der Fremdensprachlehrer, die Kinder auf eine Zukunft vorzubereiten, die geprägt sein wird von intensiven und häufigen Kontakten mit Menschen aus anderen Kulturen und mit fremden Sprachen. Deshalb gibt es seit Beginn der 90er Jahre verschiedene Initiativen, den Fremdsprachenunterricht zu fördern. Es wurden Konzepte vorgelegt, die vor allem das Angebot von noch mehr Sprachen zum Inhalt hatten, insbesondere aber auch das Erlernen einer Fremdsprache bereits im frühen Kindesalter vorsahen. Ich möchte am Beispiel von Deutschland und Frankreich und hier insbesondere zweier Städte - Halberstadt und Ernée - zeigen, * wie sich die Innovation des Fremdsprachen - Frühbeginns an Grundschulen entwickelt und * wie der ständig wachsenden Internationalisierung durch Schüleraustauschprogramme Rechnung getragen wird. In diesem Zusammenhang erscheint ein kurzer geschichtlicher Rückblick auf die Entwicklung des Fremdsprachenunterrichts sinnvoll, der den theoretischen Teil der Arbeit einleitet. Im weiteren Verlauf gehe ich auf die theoretischen und politischen Hintergründe des Lernens und Lehrens fremder Sprachen ein. Den praktischen Teil der Arbeit widme ich Beobachtungen und Erfahrungen, die ich über den Fremdsprachenunterricht sowie über die Internationalisierung am Beispiel des Austauschprogramm Halberstadt - Ernée sowohl in Frankreich als auch in Deutschland gesammelt habe. Indem ich die derzeit noch herrschenden Probleme klar benenne, möchte ich zu einem grö eren Problembewusstsein beitragen, um so zu einer intensiven und effektiven Umsetzung der Innovation und Internationalisierung auf der Schulebene gelangen zu können.
