Anhand des theoretisch erarbeiteten Backgrounds, werden mittels einer vorgegebenen Fallstudie die verschiedenen Fragestellungen beantwortet. In einem Fazit der Arbeit werden die institutionelle/personelle Projektorganisation und der Inhalt der Arbeit kritisch reflektiert. Die letzten Jahrzehnte waren von der rasanten Ausbreitung der Informationstechnologie, und der weltweiten Nutzung des Internets gepr gt. Die zunehmende Internationalisierung der Unternehmen und der daraus resultierende Wettbewerbsdruck haben zu einer wahren Flut von IT und Software-Projekten gef hrt. Durch den hohen Komplexit tsgrad und den verschiedenen Einfl ssen die auf das Projekt einwirken, werden nach der GPM Projektmanagement Studie 2008 ca. 44% der Projekte nicht erfolgreich beendet. "Die Risikoh he nimmt mit der Gr e und Komplexit t der geplanten Software und der Schnittstellenzahl zu Nachbarsystemen berproportional zu." Verschiedene Faktoren k nnen ein Projekt in Gefahr bringen, so dass kein Abschluss erfolgt. Eine mangelhafte Durchf hrung der Projektorganisation ist eine der h ufigsten Ursachen des Scheiterns eines Projektes. "Die Koordination eines Projektes stellt immer eine Herausforderung dar, weil in der Regel mehrere Personen beziehungsweise Organisationen mit zeitlich voneinander abh ngigen Aufgaben und unterschiedlichen Interessen beteiligt sind." Das Projektmanagement minimiert bei guter Durchf hrung das Risiko mit einem Software-Projekt zu scheiten. Die Problemstellung ergibt sich aus der Komplexit t eines IT/Software Projektes, die ein zielgerichtetes Organisieren eines Projektes unabdingbar macht.
