Ob bewusst oder unbewusst vermittelt - Geschlechtsstereotypisierungen und die dadurch entstehenden Benachteiligungen sind Teil der Interaktion und beeinflussen das kommunikative Handeln in bestimmten Situationen. Untersuchungsgegenstand dieser Arbeit ist die Frage: Gibt es typisch geschlechtsspezifische Formen der Interaktion und Kommunikation zwischen Mann und Frau? Im zweiten Kapitel wird, anhand von Goffmans "Interaktion und Geschlecht"1, ein Einblick in die Geschlechterbeziehungen in unserer Gesellschaft und ihre Manifestation auf globaler Ebene ermöglicht. In dem darauf folgenden Kapitel beschäftige ich mich mit Mechanismen der geschlechtsspezifischen Interaktion, wie Ungleichheiten zwischen den Geschlechtern in Interaktionsprozessen entstehen und warum sie Bestand haben können. Au erdem untersuche ich, wie die Bewertung in Zusammenhang mit dem Geschlecht steht und in welcher Weise sie die Interaktion zwischen den Geschlechtern beeinflusst. Besonders im Erwerbsleben sind deutliche Unterschiede zwischen den Geschlechtern und die Benachteiligung von Frauen bemerkbar, weshalb ich in dieser Arbeit des Öfteren darauf eingehen werde und - insbesondere im vierten Kapitel - Beispiele aus dem Erwerbsleben der Frauen heranziehe. Das fünfte Kapitel zeigt anhand diverser Studien zur Kommunikation zwischen den Geschlechtern auf, inwiefern sich das Konversationsverhalten von Frauen und Männern unterscheidet. Hier werden geschlechtstypische Verhaltens - und Sprecharten, sowie geschlechtsspezifische Strategien zur Gesprächsführung in Konversationen zwischen Männern und Frauen untersucht. 1 Goff
