Einleitung Die Wirtschaft unserer Zeit ist stark von den Veränderungen der letzten Jahrzehnte beeinflusst, die alle Bereiche des täglichen Lebens erfassen. Durch den Wandel, der mit der Globalisierung einherging und einhergeht, wandelten sich nicht nur fast alle Gesellschaften unserer Erde, sondern auch alle Prozesse, die innerhalb der Wirtschaft ablaufen. Sie veränderte die Arbeitsprozesse, deren Ablauf, und auch die Anforderungen, die an einen Arbeitnehmer gestellt werden. Um auf dem Weltmarkt erfolgreich zu sein, den höchstmöglichen Gewinn zu erwirtschaften, sehen sich Unternehmen plötzlich neuen Notwendigkeiten bzw. Herausforderungen gegenüber. Ins Zentrum des Interesses rückt immer mehr die Zusammenarbeit bzw. Kooperation auf interkultureller/internationaler Ebene. Unternehmen und Einzelpersonen sehen sich somit plötzlich mit der Situation konfrontiert, mit Personen kulturell verschiedenen Hintergrundes zusammenzuarbeiten. Die Internationalisierung der Arbeitsprozesse kann in allen Bereichen der Wirtschaft beobachtet werden, und beschreibt somit die Notwendigkeit, sich mit dem Konzept der interkulturellen/internationalen Kooperation zu beschäftigen. Im Folgenden soll versucht werden, die Grundzüge, sowie Möglichkeiten und Probleme der interkulturellen bzw. internationalen Zusammenarbeit aufzuzeigen. Im Speziellen soll auf die Notwendigkeit der Kompetenzen eingegangen werden, die im Zuge einer Kooperation auf internationaler/interkultureller Basis von enormer Wichtigkeit sind, Beziehungen auf dieser Ebene entscheidend prägen können und als Grundlage für Zusammenarbeit auf der interkulturellen/internationalen Bühne fungieren.
