Die folgende Arbeit soll sich mit der multikulturellen Zusammensetzung der Gesellschaft mit Schwerpunkt Deutschland besch ftigen und die Notwendigkeit der interkulturellen Erziehung aufzeigen. Es soll gezeigt werden, dass interkulturelles Lernen nicht nur in der Fremdsprachendidaktik, in deren Zusammenhang es meist diskutiert wird, eine Rolle spielt, sondern f r die Didaktik generell und f r das Funktionieren einer multikulturellen Gesellschaft wichtig ist. Hierzu sollen Zielvorstellungen und Konzepte zum interkulturellen Lernen vorgestellt werden. Au erdem soll anschlie end auf die Nutzungsm glichkeiten von multikulturellen Texten im Fremdsprachenunterricht eingegangen werden. Anhand von Ansgar N nnings1 Aufsatz "Fremdverstehen durch literarische Texte" soll gezeigt werden, dass mit Hilfe von multiethnischer Literatur ein lebensweltliches Fremdverstehen gef rdert werden kann. Trotz der sehr umfangreichen Literatur zu dieser Thematik und den zahlreichen Konzepten zur interkulturellen Erziehung ist dieser Bereich noch nicht ersch pft, und es bedarf noch mehr Untersuchungen vor allem zur Umsetzung der Zielvorstellungen. Mit anderen Worten ist die theoretische Erforschung der Thematik sehr umfangreich, doch mangelt es an praxisnahen Vorschl gen zur Umsetzu
