Erziehung, Note: 1,3, FernUniversität Hagen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In diesem Praxisbericht stehen zum einen die "Interkulturelle Pädagogik", ihre Prinzipien und Leitmotive sowie einige unterschiedliche Konzepte im Vordergrund. Zum anderen wird die Institution Hort mit ihren allgemeinen Aufgaben vorgestellt. Zu diesen gehört auch, mit der multikulturellen Vielfalt in unserer Gesellschaft umgehen zu lernen. Wir leben heute in einer Welt, in der Menschen verschiedener Nationen einander immer näher rücken. Betritt man einen Hort oder ein Jugendzentrum, sieht man Kinder unterschiedlicher Nationalitäten, die hier gemeinsam einen Teil ihres Tages verbringen. Viele Kinder sind im Hort mit einer anderen Kultur als im Elternhaus konfrontiert. Eine Vielfalt an Kulturen zu erleben, bedeutet ein Leben mit Fremden - wir erleben sie beispielsweise in Form von Sprache, Aussehen oder Lebensart. Menschen beurteilen andere Völker oder Kulturen vom Standpunkt der eigenen Kultur und der mit ihr verbundenen Wertma stäbe aus. Damit wir das Fremde verstehen können, müssen wir uns im Klaren sein, in welcher Art und Weise der Blick auf Fremdes uns im Laufe des Heranwachsens geprägt hat. Kleinkinder begegnen dem "Anderssein" meist ohne Vorurteil. Im Laufe der Sozialisation bleibt es aber nicht bei dieser Unvoreingenommenheit durch Nicht-Wissen. Während der kindlichen Entwicklung, z.B. durch instruiertes Wissen Erwachsener, kann es zu einem Halb-Wissen kommen, welches Vorurteile produziert. Interkulturelle Pädagogik kann präventive Ma nahmen anbieten, um eine Vorurteilsbildung zu vermeiden. Fremdheit kann auf unterschiedliche Weise beschrieben werden. Aus pädagogischer Sicht ist es wichtig, das Phänomen der Fremdheit in menschlichen Beziehungen anzuerkennen. Auch mit der Konsequenz, sich als Pädagogin/ Pädagoge das Befremden selbst einzugestehen, Differenzen zu akzeptieren, damit man si
