PRADIP KUMAR SARKAR, Ph.D., former Professor and Head, Department of Transport Planning, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Also, he is the former Vice-President of the Institute of Urban Transport, India. He is presently engaged in teaching, research and consulting work in the area of Transport Planning, Intelligent Transport System and Road Safety. He is an active member of various technical committees of the national and International importance. Besides, he has written four books on Transport Economics, Intelligent Transport System, Computer-Aided Highway Engineering, and Sustainable Transport System and has also contributed more than 120 papers published at national and international levels. Presently he is engaged as an expert in the ITS committees at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Indian Road Congress (IRC) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO).|AMIT KUMAR JAIN [(Ph.D.), School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi] is presently posted as Officer on Special Duty in Railway Board, Ministry of Railways.
