Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Informatik - Internet der Dinge, IOT, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Dortmund, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Thematisiert werden die Technologien Internet of Things und Distributed Ledger sowie deren Bezug zu programmierbaren datenbasierten Zahlungen. Es wird eine Abgrenzung zwischen Smart Contracts (programmierte Verträge) und programmierbaren Zahlungen getroffen sowie die möglichen Chancen und Risiken von Kryptowährungen und Smart Contracts vor einem geldpolitischen Hintergrund aufgezeigt. Im Anschluss wird zwecks der Ermittlung von Kernfunktionalitäten, eine Taxonomie für IoT-datengetriebene Zahlungen entwickelt. Es konnten darauf aufbauend zwei bezeichnende Muster für IoT-datengetriebene Zahlungen identifiziert werden, die sich im Wesentlichen nach Zentralisierungsgrad und Marktregulation unterscheiden lassen. Die Resultate zeigen insgesamt die Konzeption von zukünftigen Zahlungsmethoden auf sowie die Notwendigkeit zur Entwicklung neuer Regularien und Kompetenzen für Distributed Ledger Technologien angesichts des steigenden Interesses in autonome Maschine-zu-Maschine/M2M-Zahlungen. Insbesondere in den Bereichen Datenhandel, Energiehandel, Maschinenwirtschaft und Einzelhandel können automatisierte Zahlungsflüsse neue Geschäftsmodelle ermöglichen und Zahlungsprozesse effizienter werden lassen. Die entwickelte Taxonomie lässt zusätzlich einen feinkörnigen Vergleich zwischen Zahlungsvarianten über Drittparteien (Finanzdienstleister) und Zahlungsvarianten durch Smart Contracts und kryptografische, verteilte Datenbanken zu. Im Bereich der Informations- und Finanztechnologie sind Internet of Things (IoT) und dezentrale Datenbanken (Distributed Ledger) bisweilen zwei der mächtigsten Technologien des 21. Jahrhunderts.
