It's Your Choice!
EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS A CHOICEYOUR CHOICE! Over the years, I have met and worked among countless others having many commonalities that caused pain and confusion in their lives. They all were unhappy, all had disappointments and failed relationships, and were not working in their preferred career field. They all used negative self-talk and did not know how to change those things that troubled them. The good news is... THERE IS HOPE!
A huge part of change is first, making the choice to do so. When people live in an abusive relationship, whether as a child or an adult, they frequently lose their identity. If you are one of these people, your world may look unbearably grim. You may feel alone, you may feel you have no purpose in life, or that there is no light at the end of your tunnel. This unhappiness turns into anger and despair, and sometimes may have devastating consequences. Abuse is never okay and if you are living in an abusive situation, the worst thing you can do is live in it one day longer. Keep in mind, you are the only one who can change your situation!
"It's Your Choice," is a book for those who want to make positive changes in their lives and relationships, whether large or small. Everything you do in life involves choices. However, to bring about permanent change requires a willingness to make adjustments, an understanding of the process, a good support system, and a strong commitment to succeed. In my experiences as a therapist, I find the majority of people do not understand what this involves. Many professionals talk about "tools" but fall short of explaining what those tools are or how to use them. "It's Your Choice," describes how and when to use the tools and why it is necessary to do so. It offers proven tools and techniques to fuel change.
This book is written with a simple, easy to understand approach. As a child you were a true victim, but as an adult you have the right to control your own life and to live it the way you desire. Regardless of how painful and terrifying things may be, "It's Your Choice," offers solid solutions that will positively influence you to change.

I have personally traveled this road, and although difficult at times, I was able to successfully change my belief system and create a very different outcome for myself.
