Es soll dabei beleuchtet werden, ob seine pädagogischen Gedanken und Ideen zum Verständnis der heutigen Kinderrechte beitragen und eine konstitutionelle Umsetzung unterstützen. Zur Einführung in die Thematik wird sich dem Begriff Kindheit genähert und versucht aus kindheitstheoretischer Sicht eine Antwort auf die vermeintlich schlichte Frage zu finden: "Was ist Kindheit?". Die Entwicklungen in den Kinderrechten werden skizziert, um den Begriff Kinderrechte als Menschenrechte genauer zu fassen. Anschlie end wird sich ausführlicher dem Leben und pädagogischen Wirken des Kinderarztes und Erziehers Janusz Korczak gewidmet und es wird ein Blick auf die praktische Umsetzung seiner Pädagogik geworfen. Um seine Bedeutung für die heutigen Rechte der Kinder zu beleuchten, wird die Entwicklung der Kinderrechte in der Gegenwart beschrieben und die UN-Kinderrechtskonvention in Grundzügen vorgestellt. Die Schlussbetrachtung dient der Formulierung, welche Impulse seine Sicht auf Pädagogik für die kindgerechte Umsetzung der Konvention eine Rolle spielen.
