Jeppe Of The Hill is a classic Danish comedy written by Ludvig Holberg. The story revolves around Jeppe, a lazy and drunken peasant who spends his days drinking and sleeping. One day, he falls asleep in a field and wakes up in a mansion, believing he is now a nobleman. The wealthy owner of the mansion plays along with Jeppe's delusion, and the story follows Jeppe's hilarious attempts to navigate his new life as a member of the upper class. Along the way, the play satirizes the social hierarchy of 18th century Denmark and the absurdity of class distinctions.
