The biannual, peer-reviewed Journal of Romanian Studies, jointly developed by The Society for Romanian Studies and ibidem Press, examines critical issues in Romanian studies, linking work in that field to wider theoretical debates and issues of current relevance, and serving as a forum for junior and senior scholars. Mihaela Şerban is Associate Professor of Law and Society at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Her research and writing focus on law and society in Romania and Eastern Europe, human rights, constitutional law, and transitional justice.

Dr Monica Ciobanu is Professor at Plattsburgh State University of New York. Dr Ciobanu's current research is focused on issues of democratization, memory, truth, and justice in post-communism. In 2014 she was awarded the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities by SUNY.

Peter Gross, professor emeritus and former director of the School of Journalism & Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee.

Diane Vancea is professor and vice-rector of Ovidius University, Constanta, Romania.

Iuliu Ratiu is associate lecturer at the Department of Modern Languages & Business Communication, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
