Many struggle on the spiritual journey. There are more valleys and deserts than mountaintop experiences. This book looks at the ups and downs, triumphs and tragedies of our spiritual journey with a focus on the fact that underlying all we experience, we will discover God's Perfect Plan in God's Perfect Time. Our Loving God is present in his Creation and he is there with us in every moment, if we are attuned to his presence.

Fr. Deacon Edward Kleinguetl serves St. Martha Catholic Church, Kingwood, Texas, in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Through special permission, he also serves the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh (Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic). Deacon Ed has been extensively involved in parish missions, days of prayer, and retreats for varying age groups including youth and young adults, both in the United States and China, and has written extensively on Eastern Christian spirituality including a work on the Jesus Prayer and another on theosis. In connection with his interest in the Jesus Prayer, he has been on pilgrimage to Mt. Athos in Greece and to St. Antony's Monastery in Egypt. Deacon Ed holds a BSBA from The Ohio State University (1982), a Diploma in Pastoral Studies from the University of St. Thomas in Houston (2006), and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Spirituality at Loyola University Chicago (December 2017). He was ordained to the diaconate on February 3, 2007 by His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston. In secular life, Ed is a partner with Grant Thornton, LLP, working in Advisory Services, specializing in merger integration and corporate divestiture work.
