A man approaching the end of his days is offered an opportunity by Death to extend his life. He accepts and is taken on a timeless odyssey through the Hindu landscape of India where his western perceptions encounter the 3000-year old culture created by Hinduism. Towards the end of his journey he is overwhelmed by a visit to the holy city of Benares where every Hindu dreams of being cremated by the banks of the Ganges river, Mother Ganga as it is referred to. Finally, he is led to a forest where he meets the god Krishna who enlightens him as to the meaning of life. He understands finally that life is eternal and the essence of the universe is unified and indestructible.

Ari Franklinos was born in Cyprus of Greek parents and as a child emigrated with his family to England where he received his education, being awarded a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Sheffield University. He has been passionate about literature and the Arts, philosophy and the spiritual side of life from an early age and has written a number of novels, notably The Temptations of Adolf Hitler, Journey through a Hindu Landscape and Talking with the Devil along with poetry and many short stories covering the various subjects that interest him. He has traveled widely, spending long periods in Europe, India and Latin America, drawing inspiration from the differing cultures. He lives in London, for him the city with the greatest BUZZ in the world!!
